The Standard by Which All Others Are Judged!!
As Darrell and staff know, while I love going to Darrell's Place for breakfast whenever I get to come "home", I don't eat eggs. Just don't like 'em. So, whenever I'm at Darrell's for breakfast, I always order the Sausage gravy and biscuits, and a fruit cup.
The fruit cup is always delicious, none of that canned "fruit cocktail in lite syrup" malarky, just "real" fruit!! What's REALLY special, though, is the sausage gravy. OUTSTANDING!! It's simply the best there is to be had anywhere!!
In our travels, I'll always order the sausage gravy over biscuits wherever I see it on a menu, and, sad to say, I'm ALWAYS disappointed. My wife, Melanie, will always ask me:"Hows the sausage gravy", and I always have to answer:" It's okay, "BUT IT'S NOT DARRELL'S"
